macOS Compatibility

Compatibility layer Rating Notes
CrossOver Perfect Played from start to finish, including Echoes of the Eye. Character models are invisible, but you can spot them from moving coffee mugs etc. Switch Pro controller works perfect, except X/Y and A/B prompts are swapped.

Edit: character models visible with `-disable-gpu-skinning` command line parameter and neglible performance difference!

[1][2]
Wine Playable Playable 30fps on M1 Pro. Gamepad untested.
Virtualization
Parallels Perfect Stablish 60FPS. Requires the fix for flickering textures or invisible objects from the Parallels guide page.[3].
