macOS Compatibility

Method Rating Notes
Native Perfect Runs perfectly with latest patch 42.3 unstable, which added native Apple Silicon support. [1]
Rosetta 2 Perfect Playable.[2]
Compatibility layer
CrossOver Perfect Runs just as well (if not better) than through Whisky/Wine. Averages at 80-120 FPS if you uncap it, but 60 FPS would be the most smooth experience.[3]
Wine Perfect Game runs much better than Rosetta 2, but the menu bar won't go away. Edit: Just change the screen resolution until you can see the whole screen under the menu bar.[4]
Virtualization
Parallels Menu Game starts, settings work, but as soon as you start the tutorial or go to the character creation screen the game crashes.[5]
