There are a handful of methods for emulating PlayStation 2 games on the M1 using macOS.

tellowkrinkle macOS build

This is a fork of PCSX2 built for modern macOS, downloadable from the tellowkrinle github. This is the fastest method.

CrossOver

PCSX2 1.4.0 can be run (an older build) in a Windows 8 64-bit bottle with DirectX installed and DXVK enabled.

Parallels

PCSX2 1.6.0 can be run but offers very low speeds.
