    Update:
    As of 2023-12-31 or possibly before, the game crashes while loading a map with error “Unsupported API: D3D11 timestamp query”.

    Make sure nothing related to .NET and Wine Mono is installed and uninstall them if necessary from uninstaller.
    gameportingtoolkit ~/my-game-prefix uninstaller

    Set mscoree override to Native (Windows) from winecfg under Libraries tab and set Windows version to Windows XP.

    Download .NET 4.0 from [1] and install it with the flag -q.
    gameportingtoolkit ~/my-game-prefix /path/to/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe -q

    Set Windows version to Windows 7 from winecfg.

    Download .NET 4.7.2 from [2] and install it with the flag -q.
    gameportingtoolkit ~/my-game-prefix /path/to/ndp472-kb4054530-x86-x64-allos-enu.exe -q

    Set Windows version to Windows 10 from winecfg.

    Launch the game from Steam with launch option -skipintro.
