some problems that happened during the toolkit launching process

T.r. (talkcontribs)

Hi, I'm brand new to agpk and I‘m also not into scripting or code. During the downloading process, the error occurred and I checked that I successfully downloaded the toolkit dmg and installed the app. I don't know where it went wrong and what should i do next.

If anyone could explain to me what to do next, that would be wonderful.

Here is the code that appeared "HOMEBREW_SDKROOT: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX14.sdk ACLOCAL_PATH: /usr/local/opt/bison/share/aclocal:/usr/local/share/aclocal PATH: /usr/local/Homebrew/Library/Homebrew/shims/mac/super:/usr/local/opt/game-porting-toolkit-compiler/bin:/usr/local/opt/bison/bin:/usr/local/opt/mingw-w64/bin:/usr/local/opt/libpng/bin:/usr/local/opt/freetype/bin:/usr/local/opt/fontconfig/bin:/usr/local/opt/pcre2/bin:/usr/local/opt/openssl@3/bin:/usr/local/opt/sqlite/bin:/usr/local/opt/xz/bin:/usr/local/opt/[email protected]/bin:/usr/local/opt/gettext/bin:/usr/local/opt/glib/bin:/usr/local/opt/cairo/bin:/usr/local/opt/dav1d/bin:/usr/local/opt/faac/bin:/usr/local/opt/faad2/bin:/usr/local/opt/fdk-aac/bin:/usr/local/opt/brotli/bin:/usr/local/opt/giflib/bin:/usr/local/opt/jpeg-turbo/bin:/usr/local/opt/lz4/bin:/usr/local/opt/zstd/bin:/usr/local/opt/libtiff/bin:/usr/local/opt/little-cms2/bin:/usr/local/opt/openexr/bin:/usr/local/opt/webp/bin:/usr/local/opt/jpeg-xl/bin:/usr/local/opt/libvmaf/bin:/usr/local/opt/aom/bin:/usr/local/opt/libidn2/bin:/usr/local/opt/libtasn1/bin:/usr/local/opt/nettle/bin:/usr/local/opt/p11-kit/bin:/usr/local/opt/libevent/bin:/usr/local/opt/gnutls/bin:/usr/local/opt/graphite2/bin:/usr/local/opt/icu4c/bin:/usr/local/opt/harfbuzz/bin:/usr/local/opt/lame/bin:/usr/local/opt/fribidi/bin:/usr/local/opt/libbluray/bin:/usr/local/opt/mbedtls/bin:/usr/local/opt/librist/bin:/usr/local/opt/openjpeg/bin:/usr/local/opt/gcc/bin:/usr/local/opt/numpy/bin:/usr/local/opt/hwloc/bin:/usr/local/opt/openvino/bin:/usr/local/opt/rav1e/bin:/usr/local/opt/flac/bin:/usr/local/opt/mpg123/bin:/usr/local/opt/libsndfile/bin:/usr/local/opt/rubberband/bin:/usr/local/opt/sdl2/bin:/usr/local/opt/speex/bin:/usr/local/opt/srt/bin:/usr/local/opt/svt-av1/bin:/usr/local/opt/leptonica/bin:/usr/local/opt/libarchive/bin:/usr/local/opt/pango/bin:/usr/local/opt/tesseract/bin:/usr/local/opt/x264/bin:/usr/local/opt/x265/bin:/usr/local/opt/zeromq/bin:/usr/local/opt/ffmpeg@6/bin:/usr/local/opt/dbus/bin:/usr/local/opt/gdk-pixbuf/bin:/usr/local/opt/gtk+3/bin:/usr/local/opt/gtk4/bin:/usr/local/opt/json-glib/bin:/usr/local/opt/pkg-config/bin:/usr/local/opt/libshout/bin:/usr/local/opt/libpsl/bin:/usr/local/opt/orc/bin:/usr/local/opt/gobject-introspection/bin:/usr/local/opt/rtmpdump/bin:/usr/local/opt/taglib/bin:/usr/local/opt/musepack/bin:/usr/local/opt/gstreamer/bin:/usr/local/opt/libavif/bin:/usr/local/opt/gd/bin:/usr/local/opt/m4/bin:/usr/local/opt/libtool/bin:/usr/local/opt/libusb-compat/bin:/usr/local/opt/libgphoto2/bin:/usr/local/opt/jpeg/bin:/usr/local/opt/libgsm/bin:/usr/local/opt/[email protected]/bin:/usr/local/opt/net-snmp/bin:/usr/local/opt/sane-backends/bin:/usr/local/opt/[email protected]/libexec/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbinError: apple/apple/game-porting-toolkit 1.1 did not build

Games in Steam won‘t start

1
Atschmann (talkcontribs)

Hi; I‘m brand new to agptk and I‘m also not into scripting or codes, but so far I managed to install gptk via the manuals given here.

Steam launches without any problems and runs stable, but just when I want to launch a game within steam, it just changes the „start“ button for a few seconds and thereafter it jumps back to „start“

Is there anything I‘m overseeing?

Thx

My specs; Mbp m3 max Gptk 1.1 Xcode 15.1 Xcode clt 15.1 Sonoma 14.1

Metal gear phantom Pain is working?? :c

i want to try it, if someone already dit it pls let me know :D.

And if i make it work, im gonna post too.

Doneladio (talkcontribs)

Working very goood, for my macbook air m1 (8gbram). The only issues, are some render problems (bad textures in the distance) but doesn't affect too much and the other issue is like 3 or 2 cinematics are bugged. Very good performance 45-60+ fps.

Game runs perfectly through GPTK, unfortunately I haven't found any way to add mods apart from the workshop ones available on steam.

I know now sorry, was off for a few days and missed this PR, thats why I removed changes I wanted to bring back because I was thinking someone is shitting on wiki like thoose wrong commands e.g ditto for 1.0.4 was changed for some reason.

Corrected my mistake as you can see in history.

Using Game Mode with Game Running through GPTK

2
Silverstreak158 (talkcontribs)

Have installed GPTK and all its required components, and all is working well (for now). Steam is installed, and have gotten Witcher3 to run well (~35-40fps, native resolution, max settings, MPB 16" M1 Pro [non-binned]).

Is it possible to have Sonoma's new Game Mode feature turn on when playing games through GPTK? Game mode, apparently, needs to read an application running in full screen for it to turn on automatically (there is no way [that I know] to force it on for a specific app/process). Both Steam and Witcher (for example) if windowed, do not have the red/yellow/green (close/minimize/maximize) buttons on the top of their respective windows, and they do not act as actual applications visible to MacOS, rather, simply as processes.

Enabling full-screen mode in-game (which does correctly go into full-screen) does not result in that full-screen window to show up as a separate window in Mission Control (i.e. to the right of the "Desktop" at the top of the screen when in Mission Control). Going to the desktop or doing anything outside of the in-game window requires a press of "Command+Tab" — going to the top of the window with the mouse (even if windowed/borderless) does not allow the menu bar to pop up (which would occur in normal full-screen applications). Are there any ways to make these windows (Steam, games from Steam, etc. running through GPTK) be seen by MacOS as actual programs/windows? I assume that if that would be possible, Game Mode would also recognize them as applications/windows/games that can be fullscreen and thus can be used with the Game Mode feature.

Any thoughts?

Maybe after the official release of sonoma there will be such an opportunity, but now it's not possible

This seems to be yet another error with Xcode 15 beta, along with another one I've experienced that breaks linking the current releases of BASS, BASSMIDI, and company. This seems to be a regression or major change starting with Xcode 15 beta 3. Please try downgrading both Xcode-beta.app and the Command Line Tools to beta 2.

Annoying: Yes, System Preferences will then try to upgrade your Command Line Tools to beta 5 again, but you can try all you might to ignore this nag, as it won't go through with it unless you either confirm it, or have Automatic enabled for more than just Security Updates.

GOG Galaxy Web Installer

1
Friarjnr1971 (talkcontribs)

I've followed the steps for GOG but when I try to launch the GOG Galaxy Web Installer I get an error of it requires .NET Framework to proceed.

I've tried to follow the steps to fix .NET but nothing seems to work. I have downloaded VC_redist.x64.exe and managed to execute it and everything seems to be up to date. Does anyone have any suggestions/fixes?

Thanks.

(Having no issues with Steam)
