Titanfall 2 not launching

I am using a 2021 14" macbook pro. 10 core CPU, 16 core GPU, 16gb ram, 1tb drive.

I currently have it on MacOS Ventura 13.1

I am trying to run the game on a VM using parallels 18.2.0 with Windows 11 ARM64. I followed all instructions provided by the applegamingwiki article and i turned off file mirroring in Parallels, set the game to run in windows 8 compatibility mode, and I am launching the game directly through the EA app. Someone else who had (as far as I can tell) the exact same setup reported it as working just fine.

Mine is not working fine. The game won't launch. Initially it would give me the error "the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR120.dll is missing" and after downloading and repairing my existing files and it restarting and it still did not work. Now though, the error changed to "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)"

I proceeded to download and install every single version of MSVCR available on the microsoft official website.

I still couldn't get it to work, it was still giving me the same error message, so I tried the following:

- installed several other .dll files that other people said fixed it, to no avail - tried using the windows compatibility diagnostic tool - uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times - set everything to run as administrator - restarted my computer about 27 times after I made and saved each change - tried downloading origins since that was how most people had it running but origin is now the EA app so it just downloads and then says "it's time to upgrade!" and won't let me use it - uninstalled and reinstalled steam and the EA app - changed parallels to be "optimized for games" and messed around with several other things in the compatibility settings

all still to no avail. it simply will not run. I am not the first person to have this issue, others have reported similar situations, but those were people trying to run the game on windows 10 natively on a windows PC, not people running it on windows 11, and not people running it on a VM.

additionally, the only gameplay that was also linked in some way to info about the operating system all say that they are using windows 10 ARM64. Well, you can't even download an unofficial copy of windows 10 ARM64 anymore, and there is zero support for it on parallels anyways.

What I am trying to figure out is if what I am trying to do is even possible. Is there anyone who as actually played the game, using parallels 18.2.0 running windows 11 ARM64. because as far as I can find, literally nobody has done this and I have a feeling that I am simply wasting my time trying to fix something where a fix does not exist. Because everyone else who encountered this error somehow ended up getting it to work, so im thinking that I might just need to use crossover instead. But I wanted better performance and this stupid wiki told me that Parallels works better.

The only thing that I can think to try at this point is to completely uninstall parallels from my computer, and completely 100% redo the whole process and see if it works. If not, then I am convinced that it is no longer possible to play this game using parallels and emulating through windows 11 ARM64.

Which I suppose would make sense but I am frustrated nonetheless. if anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.

it doesn't fucking work on crossover either. I suspected that it was a problem with the new ea launcher but the people who last confirmed it using crossover were saying that it was working as of march 2023 and origin shut down in october of 2022 so I guess im just a fucking moron who can't make anything work. if anyone has suggestions please let me know cus i wasted my fucking time and money on this shit and aparently nobody else has a fucking problem. whatever
